The Graduate Teacher Internship Program at St Gregory's College Junior School is designed to support beginning teachers in their transition from university to full-time classroom teaching.
Grounded in the Catholic and Marist mission of the College, the program provides meaningful mentoring, professional learning and authentic classroom experiences to develop confident, capable and reflective educators.
Graduate Teacher Interns work across a range of year levels, observing experienced teachers, exploring different teaching strategies and gradually developing their teaching responsibilities.
Interns are not allocated their own class and do not carry the full planning, assessment, reporting or administrative responsibilities of a classroom teacher.27
