Its automation division designs and delivers robotic and automation solutions for manufacturers in Australia and overseas.The roleReporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll own the mechanical design of automation and robotic projects and coordinate their delivery from concept to install.What you'll doConcept, design and detail the mechanical content of robot cells and automation systems: fixtures, grippers, frames, conveyors and guardingCoordinate projects end to end, including planning documents, timing, budgets,
progress meetings and customer updatesWork with internal and external mechanical and electrical designersMake sure designs meet Australian machinery safety standards and customer requirementsProvide mechanical input to quotes and assess new opportunities at the pre-sales stageSupport installs on site, with interstate and international travel as neededAbout youDegree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or similar5+ years' engineering experience, including mechanical design for automation or robotic systemsExperience managing automation projects, from design through to installationStrong knowledge of Australian machinery safety standards (AS ******D CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, Inventor or similar)Confident dealing with clients at all levelsBackground with a system integrator, machine builder or special-purpose machinery manufacturer highly regardedWhy apply$110k-120k base + superVaried work on real robotics and automation projectsA role that mixes design and project ownershipInterstate and international travelA secure, established business with a tight-knit projects team
