With a strong focus on reliable, well-built software, they're now looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to establish a dedicated quality function from scratch.About the roleReporting to the Solutions Architect, you'll take ownership of QA from day one.
You'll shape the overall approach, introduce practical processes, and build automation that can scale as the business grows.Working alongside developers, product managers and stakeholders, you'll be the go-to person for quality across every release.What you'll be doingSetting a QA strategy that fits how the product and business operateWriting test plans and test cases for current and existing functionalityCreating and documenting QA standards and ways of workingBuilding and maintaining automated test suites, with manual testing where it adds valueLogging and tracking defects,
and working with developers to resolve them quicklyRecommending improvements to tools, workflows and testing approachesCoaching others on QA practice as the team expandsWhat you'll bring5+ years across manual and automated testing, including regression and release testing in an agile teamExperience as a QA Analyst or QA Engineer, ideally having established QA where none existed beforeSolid automation experience with Playwright, or a comparable toolConfidence writing and reviewing test code in JavaScript or TypeScriptThe ability to work autonomously and take ownership of outcomesClear communication skills, including explaining technical issues to non-technical peopleA collaborative approach, with the confidence to push back when quality is at riskThis is a Hybrid role, in the office for 3 days per week (Brisbane CBD) and 2 days per week from home!
