Seeking locally licenced Customs Broker to join Leading Australian owned International Freight Forwarder with or locally owned with offices nationally seeking a locally experienced Licenced Customs Broker for full time role either Sydney, BNE, MELB, ADL, PER- WFH on offer 2 day per week.Tasks for the role include;Formal lodgment of customs declarationsProvide mentorship and support to compilers/classifiersAssess commodity and non commodity documentation to ensure accuracy and complianceUnderstand a diverse range of commodities and ensure classification is in line with Government Acts and regulationsStrive to identify and use the lowest rate of duty and GST for all entriesEnsure CP questions are answered accurately with supporting detailEnsure outcomes such as directions are accurate and as desiredProvide a high level of customer service internally and externally for technical advice mattersAssist with internal auditsComplete refund and drawback applications as required.Collaborate with our advisory teamIdentify opportunities for process improvementMaintain knowledge of relative legislationsAttend seminars as required for learning and current events.
Online and face-to-faceMaintain government relations and monitor border watch concernsExperience and skills required for this role include;Must have current Australian Customs Brokers LicenceCPD completed historically and up to date currentlyMust have 19.1 and 19.2 approved arrangement accreditation with DAFFStrong understanding of government regulations and law, international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and INCOTERMS.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.CW1 experience preferredDetail-oriented with robust problem-solving abilities.Knowledge and experience lodging a diverse range of commodities.Sound knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook).
Experience with BICON and COLS.Motivated individual who works well within a corporate, compliance-focused industry environment.Teamwork oriented.Comply with Quality Management System requirements.Looking for Brokers with approx 2-5 years current and local experience.
