This is a part-time position that plays a vital role in delivering high-quality early childhood education and care to our kindergarten children.
As a Sessional Kindergarten Teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging, inclusive and developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support children's growth, development and wellbeing.
This role is essential to our commitment to fostering a nurturing educational environment where every child can thrive and reach their potential.Key responsibilitiesPlan, implement and evaluate high-quality kindergarten programs that are responsive to children's interests, needs and developmental stagesCreate safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environments that promote children's physical, emotional, social and cognitive developmentBuild positive relationships with children, families and colleagues, fostering open communication and collaborationObserve and assess children's learning and development, documenting progress and tailoring teaching practices accordinglyImplement behaviour guidance strategies that are supportive and age-appropriateMaintain accurate records and contribute to kindergarten documentation requirementsSupport the implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)Collaborate with co-educators and support staff to ensure consistency in practices and quality service deliveryMaintain health,



safety and hygiene standards in accordance with regulatory requirementsCommunicate regularly with families about their child's learning, development and wellbeingWhat we look forA relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education)or equivalentCurrent Victorian Early Childhood Teacher status or eligibility to register as an Early Childhood TeacherKnowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and ability to implement play-based learning approachesStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and staffA genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development in the early yearsExperience working with diverse groups of children and families, demonstrating cultural responsiveness and inclusionCurrent First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain these qualifications)A commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety and hygieneReliability, flexibility and a collaborative approach to team-based workCurrent VITPreferred: Experience in a kindergarten or early childhood education setting,
