The role requires a proactive, reliable and practical approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues before they impact guests or hotel operations.Key responsibilitiesCarry out routine repairs and maintenance throughout the hotel, guest rooms and common areasRepair or replace minor fixtures, fittings, doors, locks, handles, furniture and other itemsUndertake basic painting, patching, carpentry and general handyman workAttend to maintenance requests promptly and keep management informed of outstanding issuesConduct regular inspections to identify maintenance issues before they become larger problemsInspect rooms following maintenance requests and complete repairs efficientlyRespond promptly to issues involving lighting, taps, toilets, air conditioning, appliances, doors and other fixturesFollow all workplace health and safety procedures and identify and report hazards,
