HOBAN Recruitment | Forklift Operators | $*****/hr | Temporary Contract | MelbourneAbout the Opportunity HOBAN Recruitment is currently seeking experienced and reliable Forklift Operators to join our team for a major sporting event in Melbourne CBD from November**** to March ****.This is an exciting chance to work on a large-scale event, supporting the movement of equipment, materials and event infrastructure throughout the build, site readiness, bump-in, live operations and bump-out phases.You will work closely with onsite coordinators, contractors, labourers and other event personnel to ensure materials and equipment are moved safely and efficiently across the event site.About the RoleAs a Forklift Operator, your responsibilities may include:Operating a forklift safely and efficiently across the event siteLoading, unloading and relocating equipment and materialsMoving pallets, event infrastructure, equipment and other materialsSupporting event bump-in and site setupAssisting with the delivery and positioning of materials across designated work areasSupporting contractors, labourers and onsite teams with material movementsAssisting with site preparation and pack-downSupporting bump-out and dismantling activitiesConducting required pre-start and safety checksFollowing site traffic management and safety proceduresMaintaining a safe and organised work environmentReporting any equipment, safety or operational issues to supervisorsFollowing instructions from onsite coordinators and project managementWorking effectively as part of a large event operations teamAbout YouTo be successful in this role,



you will have:A current and valid forklift licenceDemonstrated experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, construction, logistics, events or similar environmentExperience operating safely around pedestrians and other site personnelStrong awareness of workplace health and safety requirementsGood communication skills and the ability to follow instructionsA reliable and punctual work ethicThe ability to work effectively within a large teamPhysical fitness and the ability to assist with general site duties when requiredFlexibility to work across different stages of the eventPrevious major event or large-scale site experience is highly desirableMandatory Credentials and RequirementsForklift licence:A valid forklift licenseis a mandatory prerequisite.White Card: A valid White Card (Construction Induction Training) is a mandatory prerequisite.Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Successful candidates must provide their own PPE, including steel-cap safety boots and a high-visibility (hi-vis) vest.Project TimelineThis is a large-scale event project with opportunities available across multiple stages:November **** – December ****: Event setup, site preparation and bump-inJanuary ****: Live event operations, supporting the event throughout the event periodFebruary **** – End of March ****: Bump-out,
