In this senior technical role, you will undertake and oversee a diverse range of cadastral, engineering and topographic surveying projects across Lake Macquarie and the surrounding region.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality surveying outcomes while providing leadership, guidance and technical expertise to the Survey team.This role offers the chance to contribute to significant infrastructure and property projects that support the growth and development of our city.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, external clients and authorities, you will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest professional standards.This exciting role will:Lead and support the delivery of cadastral, engineering and topographic surveying projectsProvide technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to survey staffUndertake survey fieldwork and office-based calculations, analysis and plan preparationManage stakeholder consultation with internal and external project partnersReview survey data, calculations and deliverables to ensure quality outcomesContribute to the successful delivery of Council's construction and property programsMaintain knowledge of emerging surveying technologies,

You bring extensive surveying knowledge, strong analytical skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
With excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach, you can effectively engage with colleagues, clients, contractors and external authorities to achieve successful project outcomes.Specifically, you will have:Certificate or Diploma in Surveying, or equivalent, with extensive surveying experience including cadastral property surveysDemonstrated experience using modern surveying equipment,
