Must be based in Cairns or looking at relocating to Cairns from within Queensland.
Relocation package may be considered for applicant that closely meets position criteria.What you can expect to be doing on a daily, weekly and monthly basis:Preparing financial statements, tax returns, GST and tax planningLeading client meetings and taking ownership of client relationshipsInterpreting and explaining financial results to business ownersanalysing cashflow, pricing, margins and profitabilitylooking beyond numbers into positioning, systems and cultureturning financial insights into practical, actionable advicedeveloping long-term relationships with advisory-focused clientsEssential Criteria & QualificationsMin.
4 years Australian public practice accounting experience from mid tier accounting firms ideallyCA or CPA qualification or near completion by the end of **** - essential!
Strong technical accounting and Australian business tax knowledge- essentialConfidence consulting and advising with business ownersAppreciation of a modern, sophisticated, technology-driven and paperless firmCommercially minded with a proactive, accountable approachXero, XPM, FYI, Excel and digital workflow system proficiency requiredManagement reporting tools and AI tool experience highly regarded.Full Australian working rights required.
