You will oversee high-quality projects, visitor information services, accreditation activities and stakeholder partnerships while creating a supportive, productive and customer-focused team environment.This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.Applicant ProfileTo be successful in this role, you will have:A degree qualification in Tourism, Marketing, Business or a related field, or demonstrated contemporary experience in a similar role supported by ongoing professional developmentExtensive experience leading a visitor economy or tourism team in a high-volume, multifaceted customer service environmentProven experience developing, implementing and evaluating tourism and destination management strategies with clear objectives and outcomesStrong leadership capability,



with demonstrated success in coaching and developing teams to deliver quality, customer-focused outcomesDemonstrated project and budget management experience, including delivering projects on time and within budgetHigh-level stakeholder engagement, communication, negotiation and partnership development skillsSound knowledge of relevant industry standards, legislative requirements, principles and current trendsThe ability to assess and interpret information, provide specialist advice and develop practical recommendationsThe commencing salary for this position is up to $104K.
Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $121K on completion of assessment of skills and/ or performance plus 12% superannuationWe have a permanent full time role availableThis role will be able to access a 9 day fortnightThis role is located primarily at the Visitors Information Centre, The Entrance but may be required to work at the Wyong Administration Building.Want to know more?
