Electrical Leading Hand - Mining / Power InfrastructureAn established electrical engineering and project business is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Leading Hand to join its Queensland project team.The projects will be working across major mining and power infrastructure, with ongoing opportunities across the company's broader project portfolio.
This role would suit an experienced electrician who is comfortable leading a crew while remaining hands-on, and who enjoys project-based work within mining and heavy industrial environments.The role: Working closely with the Project Manager and site leadership team, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day electrical activities and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to project requirements.Leading and coordinating electricians and site personnelRemaining hands-on with electrical installation and project worksPlanning daily work activities, labour, materials and equipmentAllocating work and coordinating site prioritiesRunning pre-starts, toolbox talks and safety discussionsEnsuring works comply with electrical, safety and quality requirementsSupporting and mentoring tradespeople and apprenticesTroubleshooting electrical and operational issuesLiaising with Project Managers, customers and other contractorsMonitoring progress, productivity and resource requirementsSupporting testing, commissioning and project handover activitiesMaintaining high standards of safety and workmanship across the crewAbout you:
