About the Role:We are currently seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join our client's team.
This role will be responsible for supporting project cost management, forecasting, reporting and financial controls across a portfolio of projects.Role Responsibilties:Complete monthly accrual processes within Finance deadlinesComplete month-end forecasting and reporting within required deadlinesPrepare and update financial variance reports and MPR reportingConduct regular meetings with Project Managers to obtain the latest information on accruals, trends and forecastsAnalyse monthly cost variances and provide clear explanations for movements and trendsMaintain monthly Cost Books and ensure they are completed and saved in SharePointCreate and facilitate PRs and POs for responsible projects and areasSupport Project Managers with the preparation and submission of AFEs to ensure timely funding releaseAssist with ACP,
CSRA and PER processes as requiredManage PO and project closures to support good financial housekeeping and project capitalisationMaintain and update AFE and WBS registers as new AFEs progressEnsure a high level of data accuracy across all financial and project reportingAbout You:Previous experience in a Cost Controller, Project Cost Controller, Project Accountant or similar roleStrong experience with project cost control, forecasting and financial reportingExperience working closely with Project Managers and Finance teamsStrong understanding of accruals, forecasting and variance analysisExperience with purchase orders, project closures and financial controlsStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracyExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsStrong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlinesProficient with Excel and financial/project reporting systemsExperience working with AFE and WBS processes would be highly regardedAbility to work independently while partnering effectively with project and finance stakeholdersIf you're an experienced Cost Controller with robust project finance and cost management experience, we'd love to hear from you.
