About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for a 1st Year Apprentice Turf Tradesperson to join the Golf Course team at RACV Cape Schanck Resort.
Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent, you'll work alongside experienced turf professionals who will support you as you learn the skills needed to maintain our golf course, grounds and surrounding areas to a high standard.
As part of your apprenticeship, you'll gain hands-on experience in:
Mowing, planting and general turf maintenanceGolf course and landscape presentationOperating and caring for turf machinery and equipmentIrrigation and watering system maintenanceTurf treatments and general course maintenanceMaintaining course surrounds, gardens and work areasSafe and effective turf management practices
Alongside your on-the-job training, you'll complete the required external training and study towards becoming a qualified Turf Tradesperson.
About You
You don't need previous turf experience.
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and genuinely interested in starting a career working outdoors.
You'll bring:

horticulture, landscaping or golfCommitment to completing your apprenticeship and qualificationEnjoyment of practical, hands-on outdoor workPhysical fitness and willingness to undertake manual tasksA positive attitude and willingness to learnReliability and a solid work ethicAttention to detail and pride in your workA team-focused approachA commitment to working safely
Any previous experience with gardening, grounds maintenance or outdoor work would be an advantage, but is not essential.
