An exciting prospect has become available for an outstanding, experienced Senior Animal Attendant to join our team at our award winning pet resort.The successful applicant will be responsible for providing support and supervision across all operational areas of the kennels & cattery and is responsible for the complete care of pets including cleanliness of kennels, feeding, medicating, grooming and exercise activities.Reporting to the Managers and working closely with our team of animal attendants, your broad responsibilities cover Animal Welfare, cleaning, feeding, medicating, bathing and caring for the overall well being of all animals whilst ensuring Sydney Pet Resort's policies and procedures are adhered to and followed.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsuring that scheduled cleaning, feeding, grooming and play times are adhered toConducting health checks for incoming and outgoing guestsMaintaining a clean, hygienic, clutter free environmentAll aspects of customer service, including face-to-face, phone and administrationTransporting of pets between the resort and customer's homes if requiredSkills & Experience Required:Have a minimum of 12 months recent relevant experience working in a kennel,



vet clinic or shelter including experience with animal handling and behaviourConfidence with all size dogs and a high level of dog behaviour knowledge with the ability to introduce dogs into social groupsExperience in a leadership role is highly desirableHave a high degree of physical fitness to enable you to handle small and large animals & equipmentDemonstrate a high attention to detail, be meticulous and take pride in your workHave excellent interpersonal skills in order to build strong working relationships with other team members and customersBe super reliable and punctual for all shiftsLove making a difference to every animal's day when they can't be at home with their ownersThe applicant is required to work ******* hours per week and shifts will be between 7am – 7pm across the 7 days of the week.
The days and hours are negotiable and at times flexible and you will need to be available to work weekends, public holidays and all NSW school holiday periods.This is a career opportunity for an experienced candidate who has a genuine passion in working with animals and being part of a professional team.An Assistant Manager role may be offered as career progression for the right candidate.Employment options include full time, permanent part time and casual.
