Wednesdays to Fridays 8am - 1.30pmAbout the roleThe Canteen Assistant contributes to the efficient day-to-day operation of the School Canteen by assisting with food preparation, customer service, cleaning, stock handling and general canteen duties.
The role supports the provision of healthy, nutritious and appealing food and beverage options to students, staff and visitors while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and customer service.
The Canteen Assistant plays an important role in creating a positive dining experience and supporting the School's commitment to student wellbeing and healthy eating.Key responsibilitiesAssist with the preparation, packaging and presentation of food and beveragesPrepare menu items in accordance with established recipes, instructions and food safety requirementsServe food and beverages to students, staff and visitors in a friendly and professional mannerProvide excellent customer service to students, staff, parents and visitorsMaintain a clean, safe and hygienic work environment at all timesClean kitchen equipment, preparation areas, dining areas and food service equipmentAdhere to all food safety, hygiene and health regulationsAssist with receiving, unpacking and storing deliveriesOperate point-of-sale systems,
