Catherine McAuley Primary School, Medowie is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Canteen Manager to join the founding team of our brand-new Catholic primary school.

This is a permanent part-time position (18 hours per week) commencing in Term 1, ****.
The canteen will operate Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 6 hours per day, during school terms.

Opening to students for the first time in ****, Catherine McAuley Primary School will serve the growing Port Stephens community.
This is a unique chance to establish and lead a current canteen service, helping create a welcoming and positive experience for our inaugural students, staff and families.

As Canteen Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the school canteen, including menu planning, food preparation, ordering, stock control, financial processes, customer service and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
You will play a key role in promoting healthy food choices while fostering a warm and welcoming environment within the school community.

The successful applicant will be organised, reliable and self-motivated,



with the ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
Previous experience in hospitality, food service or canteen operations will be highly regarded.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Canteen Manager is responsible for the profitable management and operation of the school canteen according to the relevant policies, procedures and WHS legislation. The Canteen Manager will support the development of strong relationships within the school community in particular with the students, parents and volunteers, teachers and other school personnel.
