ABOUT THE COMPANY.This Local Council based in Inner Western Sydney is currently seeking a Building Surveyor to assist their team with the delivery of multiple projects.
The role offers an initial 6 month contract, with the possibility of extension.ABOUT THE ROLE.The role will focus on the assessing, reviewing and processing applications in accordance with regulations and standards.
Along with completing applications thoroughly and in a timely manner, providing expert advice to internal and external stakeholders are key in order to build and maintain the quality standards that the council has set.DUTIES.Assessing Building Information Certificate (BIC) ApplicationsAssessing Road and Activity Applications,



following section 68 of the Local Government ActAssessing Subdivision Certificates (SC)Providing expert advice on Development Applications and compliance mattersSKILLS & EXPERIENCE.A1 accreditation under the NSW BPB Accreditation SchemeStrong knowledge of the Swimming Pools Act ****, Environmental Planning and Assessment Act ****, Local Government Act ****, Building Code of Australia and other related legislationQualifications in Building Surveying (or related)Solid interpersonal and communication skillsCULTURE.The culture of this team is one described to be collaborative, cooperative and solutions-orientated.
