About The RoleThe Senior Design Engineer will spearhead the development and refinement of cutting-edge engineering solutions across a range of projects.
The primary responsibility will be to oversee the design process from concept through to completion, ensuring that all products meet high standards of quality, functionality, and reliability, with close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers, manufacturers, and other engineers, to translate project requirements into detailed technical specifications and prototypes.Other Responsibilities IncludePresenting creative and practical engineering design conceptsLeading and managing the engineering & drafting teamCoordinating design projects, makes detailed plans to accomplish goalsDirecting, reviewing, and approving product design and changesBeing a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert; keeping current on technology developments through continuing professional development (CPD)Coordinating the preparation of project budgets, schedules,



and resourcesPreparing cost analysis on the development of new products (AFE) for opex or capex assetsManaging schedules for engineering, design, drafting & fabrication worksCoordinating with manufacturing to create prototypes and field test equipment, ensures regular communication to ensure that products are designed for manufacturingCreating detailed engineering plans, processes, procedures and standardsQuality assurance checks and product certificationLeading weekly engineering meetings to ensure critical next steps, owners and dates are clearly communicated for on time project deliveryCoaching and developing the engineering team members; ensuring adequate resourcing and training needsDeveloping relationships and fosters collaboration with functions including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Business Development, and Operations to drive project deliveryPromoting a safe work environment and supports compliance to regulatory requirements as applicable
