At Hindmarsh, our Programming Managers play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of complex construction projects.
Partnering with project teams across ACT, you'll provide expert guidance on construction planning and scheduling, helping to drive project certainty, optimise delivery outcomes, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
Reporting to the State Construction Manager, you will be responsible for:
Supporting project teams in the development, review, and management of construction programsEstablishing baseline schedules and monitoring progress throughout the project lifecycleIdentifying project risks, critical paths, opportunities, and recovery strategies to support successful deliveryEnsuring construction programs align with contractual obligations and client requirementsProviding guidance on extension of time (EOT) claims, delay analysis, and program reportingWorking closely with project managers, site teams, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to drive project outcomesTraining, mentoring, and building capability within project teams on programming tools, systems, and best practicesChampioning consistency, continuous improvement, and excellence in construction planning across the business




We are looking for team members who have:
Proven experience as a Programming Manager, Project Planner, or similar role within the Australian construction industryStrong knowledge of construction sequencing, methodologies, and project delivery practicesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Project and other construction planning softwareA solid understanding of Australian construction contracts and contractual programming requirementsExperience preparing and managing project schedules across commercial construction projectsStrong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skillsA passion for coaching and developing others while promoting planning excellence across multiple project teams
