About the Role
If you're someone who enjoys technology, loves helping people, and can turn complex systems into simple solutions, this could be the role for you.
As a Learning Systems Administrator, you'll play a vital role in supporting the digital platforms which underpin teaching and learning across The Gordon. Working behind the scenes, you'll help teachers get the most out of learning technologies, ensuring systems run smoothly, issues are resolved quickly, and users have the support they need to succeed. While there is very little direct student interaction, the work you do will have a significant impact on the student experience.
You'll join a diverse and inclusive team where collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous learning are part of everyday life. Team members bring a range of skills and experience, creating a supportive environment where everyone contributes and learns from one another.
Some key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
Administer and support learning systems and digital platforms used across The Gordon.
Provide responsive support and advice to teachers and staff, translating technical information into practical solutions.
Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve system issues, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors where required.
Monitor system performance,
analyse data and identify opportunities to improve user experience and system effectiveness.
Contribute to system upgrades, testing, integrations, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop resources, guides and training materials to build confidence and capability across the organisation.
About You:
You're a people-focused technology professional who enjoys solving problems, thinking on your feet and building strong relationships. You bring digital intelligence, curiosity and a genuine passion for helping others navigate technology with confidence. Whether you're supporting experienced users or those who are new to a platform, you're able to adapt your communication style and make technology accessible and easy to understand.
Additionally, you will have:
A Certificate IV or higher qualification in Information Technology, Digital Learning or a related field.
Experience administering and supporting digital systems or platforms, ideally within education, training or a similar environment.
Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and service requests.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for a wide range of users.
An understanding of the Victorian TAFE and VET environment will be highly regarded.
We are committed to a diverse, inclusive, and safe workplace where everyone can thrive. We value equal opportunity, accessibility, and authenticity, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences. We encourage candidates with diverse backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and beliefs to apply for this role.
