About the Role
We are seeking reliable and professionalHealthcare Security Officersto join our team at a healthcare facility in the Western Suburbs.
The role is focused on maintaining a safe and secure environment forpatients, staff, visitors and contractors.
This is a permanent part-time position working across a rotating roster.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Monitor the healthcare facility and respond to security incidents.
Conduct regular patrols of designated areas.
Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies and security concerns.
Assist healthcare staff with situations involving safety or security risks.
Monitor access to restricted areas.
Manage incidents professionally and calmly.
Complete incident reports and security documentation accurately.
Provide a qualified and helpful presence throughout the facility.
Work closely with healthcare staff, management and emergency services when required.
Follow all site security procedures, policies and workplace health and safety requirements.
Requirements
Current and valid security licence.
Current and valid First Aid certificate and CPR.
Fully vaccinated, including flu shot.
Physically fit and able to perform prolonged standing and other static duties as required.
Previous security experience, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional, reliable and punctual.
Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
Strong focus on patient and staff safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
