commercially minded Account Executive
to work closely with our
National Account Manager – Metcash
.
This is an chance for someone who understands the
Metcash/IGA and independent retail environment
and wants to develop their career in FMCG National Account Management.
You will support the growth and day-to-day management of the Metcash account across
sales analysis, ranging, promotions, new product launches, customer presentations and Field Sales execution
.

About the Role
Reporting to the
National Account Manager – Metcash
, you will provide commercial and analytical support across Metcash, IGA, independent retailers and Multi-Site Operators (MSOs).
Key responsibilities include:
Support the NAM with the day-to-day management of the Metcash account.
Analyse sales and scan data to identify trends and growth opportunities.
Support ranging, new product submissions and customer reviews.
Coordinate promotional submissions and promotional activity.
Prepare sales reports, presentations and customer analysis.
Maintain pricing, product and promotional information.
Support Metcash/IGA catalogue and marketing activity.
Work with Field Sales to drive effective in-store execution.




Manage retailer portals and customer administration.
Work with Marketing, Finance, Customer Service and Supply Chain to deliver customer initiatives.
About You
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
Previous Metcash, IGA or independent retail experience.
FMCG sales, account management or sales support experience.
An understanding of
Metcash, MSOs and the independent retail channel
.
Strong Excel and analytical skills.
Experience with sales/scan data and promotional analysis.
Experience with ranging, recent product submissions and promotions.
Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
A proactive, commercially minded approach.
A desire to develop towards
National Account Management
.
Experience directly supporting a
Metcash National Account Manager
will be highly regarded.
