About the role
This is a full time opportunity located at Tarong Power Stations in the South Burnett region of Queensland.
The Instrumentation and Control Technician (I&C;) role resides within the Electrical and I&C; Maintenance Team and reports directly to the Instrument & Control Team Leader.
The I&C; Technician performs fault finding, investigations and analysis on technically complex plant, systems and processes.
Dependant on your qualifications, skills and experience, this role can be offered as a Level 1, 2 or 3 Technician.
Key activities include
Perform routine maintenance and calibration of process instrumentation
Carry out complex fault finding and implement innovative solutions




Provide technical assistance to the Electrical and Mechanical Teams and mentor Electrical/I&C; Apprentices
Monitor and evaluate plant performance to advise opportunities for improvement in availability, reliability and cost effectiveness
Complete assigned technical work in a safe and timely manner
About you
QLD Electrical Licence
Electrical Trade Certification (Electrical Fitter/Mechanic)
Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control
Relevant experience in a heavy industry environment
Willingness to participate in weekend call out roster for after-hours response
