Job Summary
The Senior Monitoring & Observability Engineer role requires deep specialist expertise in LogicMonitor and observability, senior technical leadership, customer-facing consulting capability, and direct accountability for strategic client outcomes and renewal commitments. The scope, complexity, and business impact of the role align more closely with a Grade 6 senior engineering position than a standard infrastructure engineering role.
Role Purpose
This role is essential to:
Protect confirmed and pending renewal revenue
Deliver against contractual and conditional renewal commitments
Maintain onshore service capability requirements
Ensure service continuity for strategic clients
Reduce operational, delivery, and reputational risk
Key Responsibilities
Lead monitoring platform uplift and remediation initiatives for LogicMonitor environments
Deliver contractual monitoring and observability outcomes tied to renewals
Act as a senior escalation point and technical authority
Drive platform maturity, automation, and standardisation
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure client-specific requirements are met
Provide mentorship and technical leadership across the engineering team
Ensure consistency with onshore capability commitments
Required Skills & Experience
Advanced expertise in LogicMonitor
Strong scripting capability in PowerShell
Experience with Azure Cloud environments
Version control experience (e.g., Git)
Infrastructure knowledge across:
Windows
VMWare




Cisco networking
Linux systems
Proven experience delivering in complex enterprise customer environments
Strong stakeholder engagement and client-facing experience
Rationale
Requires senior-level technical expertise in LogicMonitor and observability platforms
Involves direct accountability for high-risk deliverables and renewal outcomes
