Senior IBM ODM & BAW DeveloperRole PurposeThe Senior IBM ODM & BAW Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing,and implementing business process workflows and business rules using IBM BusinessAutomation Workflow (BAW) and IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM).
The roleworks closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Product Owners, and deliveryteams to automate business processes, implement decision services, and support end-to-endsolution delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesIBM BAW Development Design, develop, configure, and deploy business process workflows using IBMBusiness Automation Workflow (BAW).
Develop process applications, services, coaches, integrations, and user interfaces tosupport business requirements.
Configure workflow orchestration, task management, escalations, notifications, andbusiness events.
Integrate BAW solutions with internal and external systems using APIs, web services,and messaging frameworks.
Troubleshoot and resolve workflow performance, deployment, and integration issues.IBM ODM Development Design, develop, and maintain business rules and decision services using IBMOperational Decision Manager (ODM).
Translate business policies and regulatory requirements into executable businessrules.
Manage rule sets, decision tables, rule flows, and rule governance processes.
Support versioning, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of business rules.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to validate decision logic and rule outcomes.Solution Delivery Participate in requirements workshops and technical design sessions.
Produce technical specifications, solution designs, and implementationdocumentation.
Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), andproduction deployments.
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and bestpractices.
Contribute to DevOps, CI/CD,



and release management activities.Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with Business Analysts and Product Owners to understand businessprocesses and decision requirements.
Collaborate with Solution Architects to ensure alignment with enterprise architecturestandards.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers and project teammembers.
Support business users during testing and post-implementation activities.OFFICIALEssential Skills & Experience 7+ years of software development experience, including significant experience withIBM BAW/BPM and IBM ODM.
Strong experience designing and implementing complex workflow solutions usingIBM BAW.
Strong experience developing decision services and business rules using IBM ODM.
Experience integrating enterprise applications using REST APIs, SOAP services, MQ,JMS, and other integration technologies.
Robust understanding of BPM, workflow orchestration, case management, andbusiness rule management concepts.
Experience with Java, JavaScript, SQL, XML, JSON, and related technologies.
Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Desirable Skills Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation.
Experience with government, regulatory, licensing, compliance, or customer serviceplatforms.
Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools.
Knowledge of microservices, cloud-native architectures, and event-driven integrationpatterns.
Understanding of business process modelling using BPMN.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, orrelated discipline.
IBM BAW/BPM and/or IBM ODM certifications desirable.
