Expression of Interest: AWS Platform Operations Engineer | Full-Time | $*******k AUD
We're seeking expressions of interest from experienced AWS Platform Operations Engineers for an upcoming full time opportunity, recruitment commencing in December ****.
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving cloud infrastructure and driving automation to ensure reliable, high-performing AWS environments.
You'll play a key role in incident management, root cause analysis and platform optimisation, working closely with DevOps, Engineering and Security teams to maintain and enhance cloud operations.
What you'll be doing:
Troubleshooting and resolving complex AWS infrastructure and application issues
Managing escalated incidents and conducting root cause analysis
Developing automation solutions using CloudFormation, Lambda and CI/CD pipelines
Enhancing monitoring and observability using Splunk, Honeycomb and OpenTelemetry
Collaborating with DevOps,



Engineering and Security teams to improve platform performance
Supporting and mentoring Tier 1 engineers on technical troubleshooting and best practices
What we're looking for:
Strong hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting AWS cloud environments
AWS certification, ideally SysOps Administrator or higher
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation)
Proficiency with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Honeycomb and OpenTelemetry
Strong understanding of AWS services including IAM, CloudWatch, ECS Fargate, Lambda and API Gateway
Scripting experience with Python, Shell or Node.js
Strong incident management, problem-solving and communication skills
Location:
Melbourne, VIC. Hybrid Role - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in office.
Salary:
$100,000-$120,000 AUD per annum
