Senior Civil Drafter

Our Tier 1 Mining Client is looking for an experienced Senior Civil Drafter to support major mining, infrastructure and energy projects with a well-established organisation operating across large-scale industrial developments.

Roster: 5/2 Perth CBD

Start date: ASAP

Duration: approx. 12 months - with potential to extend

The Role:

Based in Perth, this contract prospect will suit a technically strong civil drafting professional with extensive experience producing high-quality construction drawings and civil design deliverables. You will work closely with engineering and multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate, coordinated documentation in line with project requirements and drafting standards.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Produce and maintain detailed civil engineering drawings using Bentley MicroStation.
- Develop drawing packages for general arrangements, earthworks, proposed surface levels, drainage, pavements, roads, utilities and non-process infrastructure.
- Manage drawing environments, reference files, model structures, title blocks and drawing registers.
- Interpret engineering mark-ups, design models,



technical specifications and project requirements to prepare construction-ready deliverables.
- Maintain drawing registers, document control processes and accurate revision records.
- Coordinate with engineers, designers and other disciplines to resolve drawing interfaces and ensure consistency across project deliverables.
- Apply project drafting standards and quality requirements.
- Incorporate survey, geospatial and reference data into civil drawing packages where required.
- Manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work within project deadlines.

Required Experience:

- More than 8 years' experience in a Senior Civil Drafter or similar civil design drafting role.
- Experience on major mining, resources or large-scale earthworks projects.
- Familiarity with 12d Model, BIM or 3D design environments.
- Experience working with survey and geospatial data.
- A relevant civil drafting or design qualification.
- Solid hands-on experience using Bentley MicroStation.
- Extensive experience preparing civil infrastructure construction drawing packages.
- Demonstrated knowledge of earthworks, roads, drainage, pavements, utilities and associated civil infrastructure.
- Experience establishing and managing drawing environments, reference files,



model structures and drawing registers.
- The ability to interpret engineering mark-ups, models, specifications and technical information.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and a commitment to drawing quality.
- The ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams and meet project deadlines.
