KADI INVESTMENTS PTY LTD, trading as AS THICK AS THIEVES Café, is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced culinary qualified to contribute to a fast-paced dining and catering environment.

Position Overview

The chef is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising food preparation and cooking to ensure that high-quality dishes are served to customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and order food supplies
- Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Discuss food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen and waiting staff
- Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise on procedures
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations
- Support staff recruitment and provide training when needed




- Oversee food preservation processes, including freezing and storage

Qualifications & Requirements

- Relevant qualification at AQF level: Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma
- Proven experience in a similar role within a café, restaurant, or catering environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Sound knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations
