Project Engineer | Civil ConstructionBrisbane Northside | Permanent | Civil InfrastructureYour new companyHays is partnering with an established, family-owned contractor delivering civil and commercial construction projects across Australia. With a strong pipeline of repeat work across the electrical, renewables and infrastructure sectors, they are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join their Brisbane-based team.Your new roleWorking within the project delivery team, you'll take ownership of the technical performance and quality requirements of civil projects from onboarding through to close-out.Key responsibilities include:

- Managing QA and quality control across civil works
- Reviewing engineering drawings, specifications and project requirements
- Providing technical advice throughout project delivery
- Managing RFIs, technical submittals, approvals and non-conformances
- Assisting with procurement and preparing scopes of work
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and project resources
- Supporting programming and project scheduling
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and project teams

What you'll need to succeedYou'll be a technically solid Project Engineer with:

- 4+ years' post-graduate civil construction experience
- Strong experience across FRP and earthworks
- Exposure to roadworks and underground services




- Experience managing civil QA and technical documentation
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience delivering work for utilities and/or Tier 1 contractors
- Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to undertake occasional regional and interstate site visits
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or similar
