D’Arcy Weil is recruiting a Finance & Investment Analyst, Energy Portfolio on behalf of a major diversified energy business building out its Australian presence. Based in Sydney within the corporate finance team, the role works across the life of each investment, including:

- Modelling projects and operating assets, and testing the numbers through valuation, scenarios and forecasts
- Analysing and diligencing potential acquisitions, partnerships and new assets
- Helping shape pricing and deal structure through the funding process to financial close
- Tracking how investments perform against plan, and reporting what the numbers mean for decisions

You will see an energy asset from first assessment through to financial close and performance, in a business that is actively growing its portfolio.

The Role

- Modelling and valuation: Build and maintain financial models for assets under construction and in operation, using discounted cash flow, scenario and forecast analysis to inform investment and commercial decisions
- Deal analysis: Contribute analysis and due diligence on acquisitions, partnerships and recent asset opportunities
- Structuring and financing: Support the commercial structure and pricing of transactions,



and work through the project financing process to financial close
- Performance reporting: Track and report on how investments perform against plan, and turn the results into financial insight for strategic and investment decisions

About You

- 4+ years in energy, infrastructure or a closely related sector
- Strong modelling skills across construction and operating assets, debt and equity structures, investment returns and scenario analysis
- A genuine interest in the energy industry and a working knowledge of how it operates
