D'Arcy Weil is recruiting a BESS Service Solutions Manager on behalf of a global renewable energy technology business with a growing Australian battery storage portfolio. The Melbourne-based role sits where technical service expertise meets commercial strategy, including:

- Designing service offerings, with maintenance scope, resourcing, spare parts strategy and lifecycle assumptions
- Leading the service workstream across battery storage tenders and proposals
- Building pricing and cost models for long-term service and maintenance agreements
- Reviewing and negotiating service terms, and setting risk positions
- Acting as the key interface between the Australian team and global headquarters
- Representing the service function with customers, and handing awarded contracts to the delivery team

The aim is service arrangements that win with customers, hold up financially and can be delivered operationally, shaped with sales, engineering, operations, commercial and legal colleagues from first tender through to contract execution.

The Role

- Service solution design: Develop service offerings for utility-scale battery storage projects, including maintenance scope, resource models, spare parts strategies and lifecycle assumptions that are technically credible and commercially viable




- Tender coordination: Lead the service workstream across battery storage tenders and proposals, and coordinate internal contributors to produce well-structured submissions on time
- Pricing and financial modelling: Build pricing and cost models for long-term service and maintenance agreements, and run sensitivity and commercial analysis on the financial effect of technical and contractual commitments
- Contract review and negotiation: Review and negotiate service-related contract terms, identify technical and commercial exposures, and develop qualifications and risk positions
- Global coordination: Act as the key interface between the Australian team and global headquarters on service solutions, pricing, technical positions and contractual matters, aligning local requirements with global capability and standards
- Customer engagement: Represent the service function in customer discussions and negotiations, and support the structured transition of awarded contracts to the service delivery team

About You

- A degree in engineering, energy, business or a related discipline
- 5–10 years in battery storage, renewable energy, power generation or technical service environments
- A background in pre-sales, tendering, service solution development, pricing or contract negotiation in the Australian market




- A solid understanding of utility-scale battery storage systems, maintenance requirements and asset lifecycle management
- Experience with long-term service and maintenance agreements highly regarded
- Commercial judgement and strong analytical capability
- Excellent communication and negotiation across technical and commercial audiences
- Mandarin language capability highly regarded
- Comfort working across multicultural and geographically dispersed teams
