I’m working with a well-established, growing law firm looking for an experienced Senior Legal Assistant to join its Public Liability team in Melbourne CBD.

This is an opportunity to become an integral part of a busy practice, supporting a Solicitor across a wide-ranging personal injury caseload. If you enjoy being organised, staying one step ahead and keeping matters moving, this could be your next move.

THE ROLE
You’ll provide comprehensive legal and administrative support, helping ensure the day-to-day running of the practice is smooth, efficient and client-focused.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Drafting correspondence, applications, pleadings and notices of claim
- Preparing briefs and supporting documentation
- Managing diaries, appointments and conferences
- Maintaining electronic and hard-copy files
- Liaising with clients, barristers, courts and medical practitioners
- Monitoring matter progress, deadlines and workflows
- Providing proactive support to ensure the team operates efficiently

WHO ARE YOU?
You’re an experienced Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary with a solid background in plaintiff or defendant personal injury law.

Ideally, you’ll bring 4–5+ years’ experience and exposure to areas such as Public Liability, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Workers Compensation or Common Law claims.

You’ll also have:

- Strong drafting, typing and document preparation skills




- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence managing competing priorities and deadlines
- A professional, approachable manner and strong communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team
