Wild Cherry School is seeking a Language and Health/Physical Education teacher to join our thriving school community. French is the language currently offered at the school; applications from native speakers of other languages can be considered. This role is currently held by one person but could be two separate roles of 0.2 FTE each.
Established in 2013, Wild Cherry School offers Playgroup to Class 6 and is located in beautiful East Gippsland in Victoria. Our small Steiner school is growing each year and moving to a recent purpose-built site in 2028.
The successful teacher will have:
- Qualifications in Steiner education and/or demonstrated knowledge of Australian Steiner Curriculum Framework (preferred)
- Demonstrated Steiner teaching experience (preferred)
- Eligibility for full or provisional registration with the Victorian Institute of Teachers (required)
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- French language skills, or willingness to learn to primary school level
- Interest, skills or experience in health or physical education
- Current First Aid Level 2 qualifications or willingness to undertake and complete within an approved timeframe
