We are currently looking for experienced Pipe Fitters with a strong mechanical background and Multi Skilled Technicians for work at the Ampol Refinery in Brisbane.
Hours: Monday-Friday
Drive In - Drive Out (DIDO)
Local Brisbane candidates are strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities for Pipe Fitters/Mechanical: (Casual Role)
- Start Date - Asap / End date : 26December2026
- Pipe fitting and mechanical installation work
- Installation, assembly and maintenance of piping systems
- Working with threaded pipe connections, fittings and mechanical joints
- Reading and interpreting piping drawings, isometric drawings and specifications
- Measuring, cutting, fitting and aligning pipework
- Installation of valves, flanges,
fittings and associated components
- Bolt-up and mechanical connection work
- Assisting with equipment and piping modifications
- Carrying out work safely in a refinery environment
- Following site procedures, SWMS/JSA and permit requirements
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and housekeeping
Key Responsibilities for Multi Skilled Technicians: (Full time Role)
- Flange inspection & preparation
- Gasket selection & installation
- Leak testing & verification
- Performing routine maintenance and safety inspection
- Set up of nitrogen pump equipment
- Bolt torque & tensioning
- Preparation of daily logs, testing data, acceptance certificates, consumable reports
- Oversee test preparation and testing with client in accordance with approved procedures
- Dimensional inspection & measurement
- Salary Range $90K-$110
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Pipe Fitters / Multi Skilled Technicians
- Strong mechanical fitting background
- Experience with threaded connections and pipe fittings
- Industrial / refinery / oil & gas experience highly regarded
- Ability to read drawings and work independently
- Strong commitment to safety
- Relevant Australian tickets and site experience preferred
