Ready to run the show across plant, machinery and industrial assets?

This is a senior, hands-on role for an operations leader who knows their way around trucks and heavy equipment and who enjoys the commercial side of getting the best result for every asset.

About Us

Slattery Grays Auctions is Australia’s largest national family-owned auction company, and a leading auction and valuation practice. From more than 14 sites across the country, we specialise in asset advisory and disposal across automotive, road transport, earthmoving, mining, marine and aviation. Our clients trust us for our specialist expertise, our transparency and our integrity. Behind every result is our team, and we make sure our people feel supported to do their best work.

About the Role

As Industrial Operations Manager, you’ll lead the site’s industrial operations from end to end. That covers how assets are received, presented, marketed and sold, and how they get to the right buyer for the best possible outcome.

You’ll own operational performance across auctions, logistics, client relationships, safety and compliance. You’ll also lead the team that makes it all happen. The role suits someone who balances efficiency, risk and commercial results with a steady, people-first leadership style.

This is a permanent, full-time role based in Milperra, NSW, with the site relocating to Yennora, NSW in February 2027.

What You’ll Do

- Deliver auctions: Plan and run all scheduled industrial and general equipment auctions, online and onsite. You’ll work closely with Sales and Administration from the moment equipment comes in through to auction day.
- Lead the yard: Lead and direct the yard team and its reporting so that deadlines and KPIs are met consistently.
- Maximise results: Develop remarketing strategies to get the best return on every asset, and partner with Marketing on targeted advertising campaigns.
- Own client relationships: Manage clients and vendors end to end, including proposals,

agency agreements, reserves and regular reporting.
- Value assets: Support auction estimates and valuations, including off-site where needed.
- Coordinate logistics: Organise transport contractors to collect assets on behalf of clients, vendors and our collection teams.
- Drive buyer engagement: Build competitive bidding and negotiate outcomes between buyers and vendors.
- Champion safety: Lead operational and safety meetings, build a proactive WHS culture, and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policy.
