THE ROLE

- Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences, budgets, interests and requirements.

Design and book a variety of leisure travel experiences, including international holidays, land packages, cruises and tailor-made itineraries. Provide expert destination knowledge, product recommendations and travel advice. Prepare accurate quotations, itineraries and travel documentation. Utilise your GDS expertise and airfare knowledge to research, price and secure suitable travel options. Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings through effective sales techniques and exceptional customer service. Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business, referrals and long-term loyalty. Proactively identify opportunities to increase sales, promote relevant travel products and achieve sales targets.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Previous experience as a Retail Travel Consultant within a travel agency environment. Strong GDS skills and an excellent understanding of airfare pricing, fare rules and booking processes. Experience selling a variety of leisure travel products, including international holidays and tailored itineraries. Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Proven ability to build rapport with clients and develop repeat business. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple bookings and client enquiries. A proactive, positive and results-driven attitude. The confidence to work independently while collaborating effectively with management and colleagues. Flexibility to work a six-day rotating roster in line with the store's operating requirements.
