We are currently looking for a successful individual to join our dynamic, close-knit team. In this role, you will be reporting to our Estimating Manager and support the entire estimating team in achieving its objectives. To be successful in this position you’ll identify and manage risks and opportunities in new projects through accurate estimation services. You will produce estimates in a timely manner in line with SCB Group's policies and procedures, and in line with the client's requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Review tender documentation to develop accurate costings and quotations
- Effectively prepare take-offs
- Engage/Communicate with clients and builders to deliver estimates
- Recommend and deliver bid strategies and value engineering options on tenders
- Review & provide quotations to client’s and negotiate to ensure success
- Liaise closely with the SCB team, suppliers and clients
- Ensuring accuracy of documentation and compliance requirements
Ideal Candidate:
Experience with Microsoft software (Word, Excel etc) and Adobe. Preferred but not essential.
Positive work ethic and be able to take direction as well as show initiative.
Eye for detail is essential.
Be well organised also well as effective time management skills.
Good verbal and written communications skills are required.
