About the role
They are looking for an experienced Event Manager to lead operations within a high-profile retail environment based in Ipswich. Leading a team of approximately 30 casual team members, you'll oversee daily product demonstrations, staffing, performance and client relationships while ensuring every event delivers an exceptional customer experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys balancing people management, operations and commercial outcomes in a fast-moving environment.

As Event Manager, you will:

- Lead, coach and develop a team of approximately 30 casual team members
- Recruit, onboard and train new team members
- Plan and oversee daily product demonstrations and promotional events
- Drive team performance through coaching, development and clear sales expectations
- Manage rostering, payroll and daily operational reporting
- Build solid relationships with retail management and key brand partners
- Ensure food safety, compliance and operational standards are consistently met
- Manage stock, equipment and event resources to ensure smooth daily operations
- Foster a positive, energetic and high-performing team culture

What you'll bring

- Previous leadership experience managing medium to large retail or hospitality teams
- Strong coaching and people development skills
- Experience in retail, events,



promotions, hospitality or customer-facing operations
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Confidence managing rostering, staffing and operational priorities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build stakeholder relationships
- A hands-on leadership style with plenty of energy and initiative
- Experience within large-format retail, FMCG, food retail or promotional events will be highly regarded
