Full-time | $120,000 + tips + wine sales bonus structure

A rare opportunity has opened up at House Made Hospitality for a Group Sommelier to shape our wine offering across a diverse group of venues. With a strong focus on service, you’ll bring your knowledge and personality to the floor while developing a team who share your passion for wine.

You’ll be based primarily at Hinchcliff House in the CBD, home to Grana, Lana, Apollonia and Grana Privato. Your role will also extend to Promenade and Etheus in Bondi, and Island Radio and Vitelli’s Upstairs in Surry Hills.

Each venue has its own personality, and you’ll help shape a wine experience that reflects it.

The role

Around 80% of your time will be spent in service, working alongside our wine team and venue leaders. You’ll build relationships with guests, guide memorable wine experiences and bring the knowledge and confidence to look after those special bottles.

Just as importantly, you’ll develop that confidence in others. We have a small wine team, so sharing your knowledge with our leaders is central to the role—helping them make thoughtful recommendations, recognise opportunities and grow wine sales through outstanding hospitality.

Reporting to our Head of Beverage, you’ll also:

- Create and develop wine lists across the group.
- Own wine purchasing, supplier relationships, stock management and wine COGS.
- Drive wine revenue and deliver against sales and cost targets.
- Recruit,



develop and coordinate our wine team.
- Build practical wine training into the rhythm of our venues.
- Lead wine standards, partnerships and events, and contribute to House Made Wine production.

About you

You have previous multi-site wine leadership experience and enjoy the pace and energy of service. You’re comfortable working autonomously, take responsibility for your decisions and know when to bring others into the conversation.

You have drive and hustle, with the commercial understanding to turn a strong wine offering into strong results. You’re equally passionate about teaching: making wine approachable, getting people interested and helping them grow.

And you bring personality. You like having fun, connecting with people and sharing your enthusiasm in a way that makes guests and teammates want to join in.
