Know what makes a great kids’ activity? Can you spot the craft kit that will fall apart in a 6-year-old’s hands before it ever leaves the shelf? Put that eye to work behind the scenes.
KidsCo runs school holiday programs for the children of employees at some of Australia’s biggest companies, across multiple states. Every craft kit, science experiment and sports session starts in our warehouse. We’re growing, and we’ve created a new role to help lead it.
This is a hands-on, warehouse-based role. You’ll be ordering, receiving, picking and packing, and leading a small team. You’ll make sure every site gets exactly what it needs to run a brilliant program: the right materials, in the right quantities, safe and ready for kids. You’ll work alongside our Warehouse Manager and Curriculum Lead and keep finding ways to make the warehouse run better.
What you’ll do
- Order and receive stock, checking that what arrives is right, safe and fit for kids
- Pick, pack and dispatch program materials to sites across Australia, with every site receiving the correct quantities
- Keep storage clean, systematic and easy to find
- Lead and support our casual warehouse team day to day
- Give feedback to our Curriculum Lead on materials, safety and what works for different age groups
- Find better ways of doing things and help make them happen
What you’ll bring
- Experience working with children, for example in OSHC, vacation care, early childhood, teaching or school holiday programs
- A good eye for kids’ activities and materials. You know what’s age-appropriate, what’s safe, and what will actually get used.
- Meticulous attention to detail. Counts, quantities and labels matter to you.
- Organised and systematic, with good Excel or spreadsheet skills
- Confident leading a small team and setting a clear, friendly standard
- Comfortable with hands-on work, including regularly lifting stock up to 15kg
- Warehouse or stock experience is a bonus, but not essential
Why this role
- It’s a new position in a growing business, with room to grow your responsibilities and your pay
- A small, women-led team where your ideas get used
- You’ll use your kids experience every day, without the early starts on the floor of a program
- The work is varied, hands-on and meaningful
Your first 90 days
- Month 1: Learn the ropes. Meet the team, learn the layout, products and process. Work alongside the Warehouse Manager across receiving, picking, packing and dispatch. Lunch is on us in week one.
- Month 2: Build your confidence. Meet our Curriculum Lead and see how programs and materials come together. Start taking on ordering, stock checks and site quantities with support.
- Month 3: Make it yours. Take ownership of your core areas, start leading the team day to day, and bring your ideas for improvement to the table.
The details
- Part time, 32 hours per week, Monday-Friday. We’re open to full-time for the right person.
- $30 per hour plus super, with room to grow
- Reports to the Warehouse Manager, working closely with the Program Experience Manager and Curriculum Lead
- This is a warehouse-based role. You won’t be working at programs.
