Ideally, this role will be based in Newcastle, NSW. However, we will consider candidates based in other Eco Logical Australia offices across NSW.
Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, you'll lead your own areas of work across marketing, internal communications, and employee engagement. You'll enjoy the independence that comes with a small, hands-on team, while collaborating with talented colleagues across Eco Logical Australia and a wider network of marketing and communications professionals from Tetra Tech businesses across Australia.
No two days will be quite the same. You'll work with our technical specialists and business leaders to bring stories to life, strengthen our market presence, connect our people and support the business through an exciting period of growth.
You'll take ownership of:
- Digital channels and content: Manage and continually improve content across our website and social media channels, developing engaging stories that showcase our people, expertise and projects.
- Brand and marketing assets: Create and maintain compelling marketing materials that strengthen our market profile, support business development and position ELA as a great place to work.
- Internal communications and engagement: Drive the ongoing development of our staff intranet and internal newsletter, helping keep our people informed, connected and engaged.
- Business content and systems:
Manage and enhance Templafy, our document template and content management platform, helping teams produce consistent, high-quality, on-brand materials.
Alongside these core responsibilities, you'll contribute to broader marketing and communications projects, including initiatives that support organisational change, employee engagement and business transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce engaging content that supports objectives and is published to a schedule.
- Build strong relationships with consultants and monitor industry activity to identify content to showcase the organisation and to construct and maintain a steady pipeline.
- With creativity and flair as a Canva whiz, design visually compelling assets that align with the brand.
- Maintain and continually improve Templafy, the company’s document template and content management platform, to support the sales cycle.
- An active role in administrating the intranet, ensuring that it is an informative, well-structured and user-centric resource for all staff.
Other Features of the Role
- Ability to perform extended periods of computer-based work in an office environment.
- Three days per week, with flexibility in the choice of working days.
What You’ll Bring
- Relevant qualifications in marketing, communications or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least five years' experience in a marketing or communications role, ideally within professional services or a similarly complex business environment.
- A proactive, self-directed approach, with the confidence to take ownership of projects, make recommendations and see initiatives through to completion.
- Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex or technical information into engaging content for different audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- A creative eye and demonstrated experience developing engaging,
on-brand marketing and communication materials.
- Confidence using Canva, Microsoft Office (particularly Word and PowerPoint) and digital communication platforms. Experience with SharePoint intranet sites useful but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills, sound judgement and the ability to balance competing priorities.
- An interest in internal communications, employee engagement and organisational change.
- A collaborative, adaptable and solutions-focused mindset, with curiosity, initiative and a willingness to explore recent ideas.
