HarperLloyd Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded national commercial law firm to recruit a Paralegal to join its Debt Recovery & Disputes team in Melbourne.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established national practice working with major corporate clients across a range of recovery and finance-related matters. You'll play an important role in progressing files, preparing legal documentation and coordinating matters from initial instructions through to settlement and enforcement.

With a varied workload and responsibility for managing your own files, this position offers the opportunity to build your technical expertise, develop strong client relationships and contribute to a high-performing team within a modern, technology-enabled legal environment.

The Role |

Working alongside the team, you will assist with the management and progression of recovery matters, including:

- Managing a portfolio of debt recovery and finance-related files
- Preparing legal documentation, including demands, notices, statements of claim and other court documents
- Assisting with litigation and enforcement processes, including court filings and judgments
- Managing lending matters, mortgage discharges and settlement arrangements
- Liaising with clients, debtors, lenders, solicitors and other external stakeholders to progress matters
- Communicating with debtors, obtaining instructions and discussing repayment proposals where appropriate

About You |





- Previous experience as a Paralegal within a law firm or similar legal environment
- Exposure to debt recovery, litigation, recoveries, lending or enforcement matters
- Experience drafting legal correspondence, court documents and statements of claim
- Familiarity with court filing processes and general litigation procedures
