The opportunity

We're looking for an organised, proactive and adaptable Operations & Charter Coordinator to join our team at our Sandgate Depot.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining day-to-day transport operations with charter bookings and customer service. You'll work closely with our Operations and Charter teams to coordinate drivers, respond to operational challenges and help ensure our services run safely, efficiently and on schedule.

About the role

Reporting to and working alongside our Operations team, your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with the daily coordination of drivers, vehicles and transport services.

- Acting as a key point of contact for drivers, responding to operational queries, breakdowns, timetable changes and unexpected issues.

- Supporting driver scheduling, rostering and timesheet administration.

- Assisting the Charter team with customer enquiries, quotations,



bookings and transport arrangements.

- Liaising with customers to ensure charter bookings are accurately coordinated and delivered.

- Working closely with our Operations, Charter, Workshop and Administration teams to ensure smooth service delivery.

- Supporting the management of operational incidents, customer feedback and service-related issues.

- Undertaking bus driving duties when required to assist with operational coverage.

The role also involves participation in an on-call roster, generally one week in every four, with an additional, generous on-call allowance payable.

About you

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment and can think on their feet.

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

- Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence dealing with drivers, customers and colleagues.

- High attention to detail, particularly when managing bookings, schedules and customer requirements.

- A practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to adapt when plans change.





- Good computer skills and confidence learning new systems.

- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to support the team wherever needed.

- An understanding of transport or logistics operations would be advantageous, but is not essential.

You must also hold, or be willing to obtain, an HR driver's licence and NSW Bus Driver Authority, as you'll be required to undertake bus driving duties when operationally necessary.

Previous experience in bus or coach operations, transport coordination, scheduling or charter bookings would be highly regarded. However, we're equally interested in applicants with transferable skills and the right attitude.
