About the role
McConnell Dowell is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team supporting an upcoming major civil infrastructure project in metropolitan Adelaide.

Joining as the project builds towards delivery, you’ll work closely with construction and engineering teams to plan, coordinate and deliver your area of works safely, efficiently and to project requirements.

This is a hands-on delivery role with exposure across engineering, planning, temporary works, procurement, cost, scheduling and quality.

Key responsibilities

- Provide technical support, interpret drawings and coordinate temporary works.
- Coordinate engineering activities to support safe, efficient construction delivery.
- Support planning, procurement, scheduling and subcontractor coordination.
- Monitor project progress, costs, quality and reporting requirements.
- Work closely with site teams to resolve issues and keep delivery on track.

About you
You’ll be a capable Project Engineer who enjoys being close to construction, solving problems and taking ownership of delivery.

You’ll bring:

- Working knowledge of project management principles
- Demonstrated project engineering experience within a construction environment
- Solid planning and organisational skills, with the ability to deliver to project timelines
- Sound working knowledge of health,



safety and environmental requirements Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with construction, engineering and project teams
