Darebin Trade Services is a locally owned Melbourne business, based in Thomastown, that has been looking after homes since 1995. What started as Darebin Gas has grown into a full trade services company covering gas, heating, cooling, hot water and electrical for domestic households and real estate agencies across Melbourne.
Thanks to strong, long-standing relationships with our customers, our electrical side of the business is growing. We’re now looking for an A-Grade Electrician to join our team.
We’re a close-knit team that works together to get the job done right, so the right person will be a team player who takes pride in their work.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The role is a mix of work, mainly:
- Electrical safety and compliance checks for rental properties, including smoke alarm checks and reporting
- Running power for split systems and heat pump hot water units, working alongside our refrigeration and plumbing teams
- General domestic electrical work, such as repairs and power points.

MAIN DUTIES
- Electrical safety inspections and testing of rental properties
- Testing and replacing smoke alarms
- Installing dedicated circuits and isolators for air conditioning and heat pump hot water systems
- General domestic electrical installation and repairs
- Reporting jobs through our online job management software
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- A-Grade Electrician’s Licence (VIC)
- Current driver’s licence
- Experience in domestic electrical work and testing
- Good attention to detail and clear communication with customers
- Willingness to travel to job sites across North, West & East Suburbs of Melbourne
