Commercial Leadership | Project Based Business with International Operations

We are recruiting a Senior Finance Manager for an established Australian business operating across engineering and project services sectors, with operations throughout Australia and the Pacific.

Reporting to the General Manager, this is a broad leadership role overseeing financial operations, commercial performance and financial governance across a diverse, project-driven business.

You'll work closely with senior management and operational teams, providing financial insights, improving project profitability and supporting key business decisions.

The Role

- Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring robust financial controls, reporting and accountability.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and monthly financial reporting.
- Partner with operational and project managers to monitor costs, margins and commercial performance.
- Provide financial analysis to support major tenders, projects and strategic decisions.
- Oversee banking relationships, funding arrangements and working capital requirements.
- Manage audit, taxation, insurance and statutory compliance obligations.
- Support financial management across international operations
- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes and reporting.

About You

We're looking for an experienced finance professional who is commercially minded, confident working with senior stakeholders and comfortable operating in a hands-on business environment.

Ideally, you'll have:





- Experience as a Finance Manager, Senior Finance Manager or Financial Controller.
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management experience.
- Experience in a project-based industry such as construction, engineering, infrastructure, marine or industrial services.
- Proven experience leading and developing a finance team.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide practical financial advice to operational leaders.
- Experience managing banking relationships, funding facilities and working capital.
- Relevant accounting qualifications, with CA/CPA highly regarded.

Experience with international operations or multi-entity structures would be advantageous.
