Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for a full time Bricklaying Apprentice to work with our valued Host Employer in the Barossa Valley region.

This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience alongside skilled and experienced supervisors while working towards a Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying.

As an apprentice, you will develop the skills to lay bricks, stone and other building blocks using mortar to construct and repair walls, partitions, arches and other structures. Key tasks include:

- Read plans and specifications to identify materials, measurements and construction requirements.

- Prepare foundations and spread mortar for brick and block placement.

- Lay bricks and blocks in various patterns and designs, ensuring correct spacing and alignment.

- Cut and shape bricks and stone using hand and power tools.





- Check horizontal and vertical alignment throughout construction.

- Assist with repairs and maintenance of existing structures.

Position Requirements

- Hold a current driver's licence.

- Hold a current White Card or be willing to obtain one before commencing.

- Be physically fit and capable of performing manual labour.

- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop recent skills.

- Be punctual, reliable and have a good work ethic.

- Be able to use initiative and work well as part of a team.

- Successfully pass a pre-employment medical.
