Your recent company An established Melbourne-based organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join its finance team.
This is a hands-on role offering broad exposure across financial and management accounting, month-end, statutory compliance, AP/AR and payroll support.
Working closely with the wider finance team, you'll take ownership of key accounting activities while also having the opportunity to identify process improvements and streamline existing ways of working.
Your new role Manage month-end and year-end processes, including journals,
reconciliations and reporting Complete bank reconciliations and fixed asset accounting Oversee day-to-day AP and AR processes and ledger reconciliations Support payroll activities including PAYG tax and superannuation Assist with BAS and FBT returns Maintain accurate financial records and support external audit requirements Identify opportunities to improve and streamline finance processes What you'll need to succeed You will be an experienced, hands-on accountant who enjoys working across a broad finance remit.
You will bring: 5+ years' financial accounting experience CPA/CA qualification or near qualified Robust attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting What you get in return $110k - $115k + super Broad Financial Accountant role with ownership across core accounting activities Exposure across financial accounting, compliance and payroll Chance to contribute to finance process improvements Join an established finance team in a diverse, hands-on position
