B&D; Fencing Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Fencing Estimator to join our commercial-focused team.This is a dedicated in office quoting and tendering role in Northgate, QLD.
You will focus exclusively on preparing accurate commercial estimates and tenders, breaking down scopes of work, reviewing plans, and carrying out initial site visits.
You can expect to work on approximately * tenders per month.You will be supported by a contracts officer in the office who assists with completing tender paperwork and submissions.
You may occasionally help with handover paperwork at the end of a project, but day-to-day project management and installer coordination are handled by our existing project manager.A fuel card is provided for site visits.Key responsibilitiesReview commercial drawings, plans and tender documents to measure and quantify fencing, gates and related worksBreak down scopes of work and prepare detailed commercial tenders and submissionsConduct initial site visits to confirm measurements, assess conditions and clarify scopeCalculate material, labour and installation costs accuratelyPrepare transparent,



competitive quotes and follow up with clientsSource and compare supplier pricingAssist with handover paperwork as requiredSupport other estimators with site measures when neededHandle a smaller volume of residential fencing estimates as requiredAbout youProven experience in commercial fencing estimating, construction estimating, or a closely related roleStrong knowledge of fencing materials, systems and installation methodsDemonstrated experience with commercial tendering and breaking down paper/scopes of workConfident reading plans/drawings and working accurately with measurementsGood communication, organisational and computer skillsCurrent driver's licence (essential for site visits)Current White Card (Construction Induction Card)Familiarity with Xero, Procore and/or Hammertech is desirable but not essentialReliable, organised and comfortable working both independently and as part of a teamSalary: Competitive and based on experience.Start: Immediate start preferred.If you have solid commercial estimating experience and want a focused quoting/tendering role with office support, a fuel card, and a consistent pipeline of work at a busy commercial fencing company on Brisbane's northside, we'd like to hear from you.We are an equal chance employer and encourage applications from all suitably qualified candidates.
