An established global renewable energy IPP is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Australian finance team.Melbourne or SydneyBroad Role Across a Growing Project PortfolioReporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this is a broad financial accounting role working across a portfolio of renewable energy projects and entities.
You'll take ownership of financial and statutory reporting, manage the external audit process and provide technical accounting support across the Australian business.The roleOwn monthly management accounts and financial reporting across multiple Australian entitiesPrepare statutory financial statements in accordance with AASB/IFRSManage the annual external audit process from planning through to completionProvide technical accounting support across areas including revenue recognition, leases, financial instruments and intercompany transactionsManage month-end processes, reconciliations and internal controlsSupport tax and compliance requirements including BAS/GST and transfer pricingAssist with annual budgets,
forecasts and variance analysisWork across renewable energy development, operating assets and project entitiesPartner with local teams and Group Finance internationallyAbout you You'll be a technically solid accountant who enjoys being hands-on and working across a complex, multi-entity workplace.Ideally, you'll have:Robust financial and statutory reporting experienceExperience managing or playing a key role in external auditsGood knowledge of AASB/IFRSExperience across multiple entities, group structures or project-based businessesRenewable energy, energy, utilities or infrastructure experience highly regardedBig 4/mid-tier audit experience also highly regardedStrong communication skills and a collaborative approach This is an opportunity to join a growing Australian renewable energy platform with a significant project pipeline and be part of a finance function that is continuing to build its capability locally.
